GeekTek IT Services, a Los Angeles-based Managed IT/Cybersecurity firm which manages, secures and scales the information infrastructure of rapidly growing businesses, has just launched its new location in Denver, CO. GeekTek President/CEO Eric Schlissel has selected Art Ockey, who has constructed and implemented effective work processes as a manager for Optimum Networking, inhouseIT, The Network Pro and many other managed service providers, to lead the charge. “I have known Art Ockey ever since his days as the Project Services Director at inhouseIT, and the exceptional skillset and work ethic he has developed throughout his career match well with our aspirations as a company,” mentions Eric. “Art’s attention to detail and mastery of workflow automation has already enhanced our service desk capabilities by leaps and bounds. I am confident in his ability to lead our Denver team to great heights in this new expansion.”
For his part, Ockey states, “I’ve always respected the team and tools GeekTek has amassed over the years. Eric clearly has a vision for GeekTek’s future growth, and our company is well-prepared to take on the tasks mandated by Colorado’s booming economy. I look forward to helping lead GeekTek to meet and surpass our goals.”
GeekTek enters into the Denver Metro area at a propitious time. The city is experiencing job growth .6 percentage points higher than the US average, according to a recent study by the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation. And its cannabis industry has recently posted gross sales of $1.5 billion for 2017, a new record for the state’s well-known program. According to Schlissel, these metrics closely track the upward momentum GeekTek itself is both experiencing and cultivating with its recent expansion activity.
